  • You’ll be greeted by a friendly face who will begin the session with a detailed discussion about your health history, physical activity, and any specific injuries or pain points.

    The therapist will conduct a thorough movement and activity assessment which will guide the rest of the treatment. You will receive reasoning to which treatment options are best suited to you, your goals, and your level of activity.

    Following your treatment, the therapist will educate you on your area of injury, provide exercises to help facilitate recovery and improve sports performance, and discuss any follow-up treatments to further support your goals.

  • Massage contributes to a faster recovery through promoting circulation to injured tissues, reducing inflammation, and assisting the break down of scar tissue, particularly after a sprain or strain.

  • The frequency of sports/remedial massage depends on your activity level, goals, and any injuries. Generally, athletes may benefit from a session every 2-4 weeks, while those recovering from injuries may require more frequent visits.

  • Yes! Sports massage is effective for a wide range of injuries, including:

    • Strains and sprains

    • Tendonitis

    • Muscle tightness and cramps

    • Repetitive strain injuries (RSI)

    • Ligament and tendon injuries

  • Yes! Regular sports massage helps to improve range of motion, and muscle function, all of which contribute to better performance and reduced risk of injury.

  • Some clients may experience mild soreness or muscle tenderness for a day or two after a session, similar to the feeling after a good workout. This is usually temporary and should subside quickly.

  • Unfortunately we are only offering home visits and Telehealth consultations to current clients of Atlas Sports Massage Therapy. Home visits will depend on location, and therapist availability.
